President of the Poland–Japan Foundation, Radosław Tyszkiewicz, visited the exhibition “Akitsushima: Island of Dragonflies” at the Manggha Museum of Japanese Art and Technology in Kraków. The exhibition presents a unique collection of Japanese armor, military artifacts, and works of art inspired by the dragonfly motif – a symbol deeply rooted in Japanese culture. The Poland–Japan Foundation would like to undertake efforts to bring this fascinating exhibition to Japan as well. To this end, we are seeking Japanese partners – museums, cultural institutions, foundations, and organizations – that would be interested in collaborating on the organization of the exhibition in Japan. Individuals and institutions interested in participating in this project are invited to contact the Poland–Japan Foundation. We believe that presenting “Akitsushima: Island of Dragonflies” in Japan could become a valuable initiative bringing together Polish and Japanese cultural communities and highlighting their shared interest in Japan’s art, history, and symbolism.
