Radosław Tyszkiewicz, President of the Poland–Japan Foundation, met in Tokyo with Prof. Dr. Franz Waldenberger, Director of the German Institute for Japanese Studies (DIJ). The meeting focused on potential cooperation, including joint projects and knowledge exchange between European and Japanese academic and expert communities. The role of European research institutions in Japan was highlighted, and the EAJS international conference (27–30 August 2026, Poznań) was noted as a key opportunity to further strengthen cooperation.
