On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the liberation of the Auschwitz camp, falling on January 27, Radosław Tyszkiewicz, President of the Foundation, visited the Auschwitz Peace Museum located in Shirakawa, Fukushima Prefecture, Japan. This small museum, operated by volunteers as a non-profit organization, was established in 2003. It features exhibits related to the history of the Auschwitz camp and conducts educational activities. To date, it has been visited by approximately 50,000 people. During a conversation with Director Mari Obuchi, Radosław Tyszkiewicz pledged cooperation on potential projects, and the Poland-Japan Foundation became a supporting member of the Museum.
The Polish-Japanese Foundation (FPJ) works for cooperation and development of mutual relations between entities and residents from both countries.
