During meetings with representatives of the Bureau of International Cooperation of the Capital City of Warsaw and with Aleksander Ferens, Mayor of the Warsaw-Śródmieście District, the President of the Poland–Japan Foundation, Radosław Tyszkiewicz, presented the activities of the Foundation and emphasized the importance of cooperation between Warsaw and its Japanese partner city Hamamatsu, as well as between the Warsaw-Śródmieście Ward and the Meguro Ward in Tokyo. The parties discussed the Foundation’s initiatives and projects, and considered opportunities for establishing cooperation and implementing joint projects to strengthen Polish-Japanese relations. On September 18, Warsaw Day will take place at the Expo Osaka, during which three symbolic events are planned: “Breakfast with Maria Skłodowska-Curie,” “Kings’ Afternoon Tea,” and “Dinner with Fryderyk Chopin” – combining culinary experiences with figures that define Warsaw’s identity.

The Polish-Japanese Foundation (FPJ) works for cooperation and development of mutual relations between entities and residents from both countries.
