Organized by the World Photography Organisation, the Sony World Photography Awards is one of the largest and most important events in the world of photography. In the Open 2026 edition, winners and finalists were honored in 10 categories, recognizing the best single images of the past year. A record-breaking 430,000 entries were submitted from over 200 countries, confirming the competition’s global scale. We were delighted to hear that among the finalists was a photographer from Poland, Tomek Kozłowski, whom we supported during his stay in Japan. His photograph from Hokkaido was distinguished and selected among the top 15 photographs of 2026 in the Lifestyle category. The Poland-Japan Foundation served as a media patron for his photographic and social project “InSight FarEast,” whose first part (March–May 2025) took place in Japan. Congratulations!
