The Poland-Japan Foundation is pleased to announce the publication of a new article by Adam Jurgilewicz entitled “Beyond the Armour: Samurai Heritage as a Bridge of Cultural Diplomacy Between Japan and Poland.” The author analyzes how samurai armor—through its craftsmanship, symbolism, and rich history—has evolved from a symbol of warfare into a unique tool for intercultural dialogue. Drawing on experience in organizing exhibitions and collecting, he demonstrates how Japan’s cultural heritage can foster better mutual understanding and build lasting relationships between Poland and Japan.
