The hybrid session titled “From 2% to Moving the Money — Driving Growth & Capital for Women Founders” will take place on April 16 at CIC Tokyo. The event will bring together investors, company founders, and ecosystem leaders to address the issue of funding inequality in Japan, where women establish 10% of companies but receive only 2% of investments. The session will discuss venture capital decision-making mechanisms, structural barriers limiting women’s access to funding, and practical ways to implement changes in the current system — taking into account both Japanese and European perspectives.
